The Rules
The premise is simple – pick a weekly fantasy team, based on the below rules, to accrue Fantasy Football points in order to beat the MasterTeam! It’s a level playing-field; our team is selected using the same criteria as yours, but by the MasterTeam experts!
We will collate total points scored each week, together with how many bonus points you score by beating the MasterTeam, to produce a league table. There will be (slightly questionable…) prizes for the top performers!
For thw 2020-21 season and MT Trial 2.0 we’re introducing 2 optional competitive elements strictly for our Ambassadors – the Entry Fee and the Shadow League! See previous e-mails for details (please e-mail Gaffa@MasterTeamFF.com if you need reminding).
Once the deadline for the passed for your team to be submitted, the MasterTeam will be revealed. Then it’s a case of watching the fixtures and seeing whose team comes out on top! Sounds straightforward, right? But this is Fantasy Football with a twist; when picking your team each week….
- You have a budget of £100 million.
- You have to select ONE player from each of the Premier League fixtures that Gameweek (usually 10 fixtures).
- The exception is your ’11th Man’. This can be from any of the other fixtures, but they MUST be from a team you haven’t picked from in your first 10 players. This can be any position except the goalkeeper.
- Formations can be either 4-4-2, 3-5-2 or 3-4-3, which include a keeper.
- Scoring system will be exactly the same as the official Premier League Fantasy Football game (see https://fantasy.premierleague.com/help/rules).
- The deadline for submitting your team is 90 minutes before the first KO time. The MasterTeam will be released at least an hour before the first KO.
- Your results will be released (emailed to you) after the last fixture, with updated league tables – and prize/”thank you” announcements 🏆- to follow
